Brandon and Katie Price have served the church in Ukraine for nearly 14 years. They have lived in the cities of Mariupol, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. In 2020, Brandon accepted the role of director with the Ukrainian Bible Institute, a school which trains men and women for ministry and provides benevolence help around Ukraine. When the war began in February 2022, Brandon and his family evacuated the country and are currently living near the Ukrainian border in Kośice, Slovakia. Since the war began, UBI’s studies have moved fully online, and their benevolence work has expanded to help coordinate the delivery of humanitarian all over the country. Brandon oversees these efforts from Slovakia and often goes over the border to stay connected with the Christians there. Brandon and Katie are graduates of the Adventures In Missions program, as well as the Sunset International Bible Institute. They have two children.
Sasha Nikolaenko is a graduate of the Ukrainian Bible Institute and has served the church full-time since 2012. Sasha primarily focuses on reaching unchurched youth and their families. He and his wife, Nastia, have two children. When the war in the east began in 2014, he and his family was forced to leave their home in the Donetsk area and they relocated to Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2020, they moved to Kyiv, and when the full-scale invasion began in February 2022, they evacuated to The Hague where Sasha continues to partner with the church and reach out to other Ukrainian refugee families. Sasha partners with the Sunset International Bible Institute and the Ukrainian Bible Institute to help provide aid and activities to displaced families.
Sergey Shupishov is a graduate of the Ukrainian Bible Institute and is a minister in the city Irpin, which is just outside of the capital city of Kyiv. Sergei and his wife, Yana, initially evacuated from the area when the war began in early 2022, but they returned to serve the church and their community in a town which was heavily damaged from the war. Sergei partners with the Let’s Love ministry to help provide aid to the local community.
Denis Zolotarev ministers at Irpin alongside Sergei Shupishov. He is a graduate of the Ukrainian Bible Institute. In addition to his work with his local congregation, Denis coordinates and participates in the deliveries of humanitarian aid through the Let’s Love ministry. Denis’ wife, Yulia, and their two children are currently living in Croatia due to the continued conflict in Ukraine.
Yura Taran is a graduate of the Ukrainian Bible Institute. He, his wife, and their family are from the city of Zaporizhzhia, where they served for many years. When it became too dangerous to stay in their city, Yura and his family evacuated to Warsaw, Poland where they have ministered to Ukrainian refugees and helped establish a Ukrainian congregation. Yura partners with the Sunset International Bible Institute and the Ukrainian Bible Institute to provide aid and other help to the refugees in Poland.
Valeriy Kolchik and his wife, Ludmilla, are originally from the city of Gorlovka where Valeriy served as a minister for many years after he graduated from the Ukrainian Bible Institute. He and his family were forced to evacuate their home when the war began in 2014. Eventually they moved to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk where they mostly minister to internally displaced Ukrainians. Valeriy and his congregation partner with the Sunset International Bible Institute and the Ukrainian Bible Institute to provide humanitarian aid and other help.
